The dogs have their own added on room in the house.
Our House

We have 8 acres at the edge of town. The population of our little town is around 150.
It is the county seat.
Our house was built by a lawyer in the 1900s.
We have a 2 acre lake out our back door.
We have our monkeys and dogs in our house with us so we can spend lots of quality time with them. We connected a kennel building right to our house and we have monkey enclosures surrounding it on 3 sides. The dogs have inside outside cages and we have built outside cages for the monkeys.  We strive every day to keep our pens and grounds in tip top shape and very clean.
Please try to be patient and wait for page to load.
We are very particular about our animals and their food. We start with very nutritious fruits, vegetables, and meat and make up meals in zip lock bags. Then they are frozen and given to them at mealtimes. We believe the secret to a healthy monkey is variety in their diet. They get monkey biscuits, canned monkey food and human food.
Our feeding routine.
Tag Along Ranch was founded in August 2004. We are a middle aged couple that was suffering from the empty nest syndrome. We have been married for  30 some yrs. 4 boys are all grown and have wives and children of their own. Hoping to be able to retire and just take care of our animals someday.
We decided to add some critters that won't leave home unless we let them.
They also mind a lot better than those human ones.
About us
Monkey Marmoset Meals
The Lake
We cook vegetable pasta and eggs, we purchase fresh and canned fruit all without sugar and in its own or natural juice(bananas, pineapple tidbits, grapes, etc), we buy frozen mixed vegetables and other fresh vegetables like celery, green peppers the carrot strips for salads cucumbers, etc. we buy shredded cheddar and mozerella cheese, canned zupreem marm food, and the mazuri monkey buscuit sticks. we set up an assembly line on our island bar and put just a little of each thing into a quart size zip lock bag. We do the meals every 2 months so each time we do around 240 bags. That is 240 trips around the island. Yes we get dizzy and very tired. It usually takes about 5-6 hours and costs around $350
Adult Capuchin Meals
The capuchins get a specialized diet I found on Wisconsin University webpage.
Capuchin Monkey Basic Information and Diet
     (Cebus apella, capucinus, nigrivittatus, albifrons)

     DIET

For 1 animal 2-3 lb animal. Increase portions proportionately for
increased body weight. Do not overfeed. Monkeys waste a lot of food if
excess is given and may overindulge which can lead to bloating. Fruits
and veggies should be cut into pieces appropriate for the monkey's
small hands. New World Monkey Chow can be soaked in Marmoset jelly or
fruit juice. Moist foods can be sprinkled with a vitamin mineral powder
such as Vionate. (approx 1/4 tsp per animal per day). Food should be
offered at set times of the day.

     A.M.

1-3 oz canned primate diet (cut in small pieces) Zupreem, Science Diet
10-12 pieces of soaked New World Monkey Biscuit (Mazuri, Spectrum,
Purina, etc.) or can be offered dry up
1/3 cup depending on size of the monkey. Soaking in fruit juice may
increase palatability during conversion from poor diets.

     P. M.

     M-W-F

     1/8 apple
     2 slices of banana 1/2'd
     2 grapes 1/2'd
     1 TBS diced orange
     1/2 slice sweet potato (chopped)
1 1/2 TBS lettuce mix* (Romaine, cabbage, & celery)
4 primate biscuits (soaked in orange juice/mjelly)
     8 peanuts
     1 TBS sunflower seeds
1" piece of carrot - chopped
1/8 slice of whole wheat bread cubed
     4 snow peas

     TU-TH-SA-SU

     2 slices of banana 1/2'd
     1 TBS diced orange
     green beans cut
1/4 hard boiled egg with shell (cut up)
1 TBS corn (thawed frozen or fresh)
     5 peanuts
     1 TBS sunflower seeds
     1 heaping TBS avocado
     few sprigs of parsely
1 heaping TBS black-eyed peas (shelled)
     1/2 slice turnip
1 oz canned primate diet (cut in small pieces)
4 primate biscuits (soaked in fruit juice or M.jelly)
1/4 slice whole wheat bread cubed

occasional cricket (cricket shold be dusted in vionate) as a treat.
Some will really enjoy this, others won't know what to do with it.
Other meats such as cooked fish, chicken, turkey, beef are sometimes
enjoyed.  Offer teaspoon-sized portions. Minimize intake of human
sweets, dessert foods, milk products, carbohydrates and fats. It is ok
to give the monkey one human children's vitamin tablet 2 - 3 X a week.
Avoid foods which have been enriched with iron such as fortified
cereals. Other treats occassionally: soaked raisins, other types of
fruit - portion of treat/day should be less than 1 teaspoon in volume!

     * Lettuce mix ingredients are placed in a chopper and mixed. Use long
     and thin pieces.

I take the suggested diet above and combine the days into each day then we place all of it into gallon size ziplock bags and freeze for each days use. The meals are taken out the morning before and placed into the refrigerator so they will partially thaw. The capuchins do not like it if their food is frozen. The capuchin meals take about 5-6 hours to prepare and about $350 for 7 monkeys for 2 months.
