All our poodles come healthy & up to date on wormings and vaccinations, with a pet taxi (if shipped), with AKC papers, health certificate(if shipped), tails docked, sample of food, microchipped, and dew claws cut. See our guarantee at the bottom of the page.

OUR GUARANTEE:

We at Tag Along Ranch are very fond of all our puppies and want to make sure they have the best. We guarantee our puppies against genetic defects for 1 yr. If your vet feels your puppy has a genetic defect that is threatening the life of the puppy please contact us. We will need the records faxed to our vet to confirm the problem. This does not include weak knees, hernias, or bad bites. We are not responsible for any vet bills accrued for your puppy.

If our vet determines the puppy has a life threatening genetic defect within 1 yr we will replace the puppy as another one becomes available. We will need the original puppy back and all shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer.

FEEDING

We start all our puppies out on Diamond Naturals for small breed Puppy. The smallest puppies and ones that have trouble chewing will get Cesar puppy food mixed with ground Diamond Naturals until they can chew the kibbles. A coffee grinder works very well to grind the kibble.

Toy breed puppies are different and require very special care. They should have dry food offered to them at all times. You should monitor their eating and make sure they are eating some food at least 3 times per day. They are very easily stressed and may experience some bloody diarrhea or vomiting from the trip to your home. If this happens you can give them some kaopectate 0.5 ml once or twice per day. If the diarrhea persists more than 2 days you will need to take the puppy to the vet. He/she may need some antibiotics for a few days. Stress sometimes will throw puppies into coccidiosis or girardia.

**Please remember your little puppy may experience hypoglycemia if he/she is not eating well. Please make sure the puppy eats at least 3 times dly. If you do not feel it is eating very well please put some syrup or sugar in it's drinking water so it will get a little sugar with each drink.

TOY POODLE

Toy ( 10 inches and under.) The original Poodles were water dogs used for retrieving and their conformation and the texture and pattern of their coats to this day reflect the purposes for which they were bred. Miniatures and Toys have been bred down from the larger Poodles and they exhibit the same general characteristics. The Poodle is an active, intelligent, ruggedly-built dog which is at the same time elegant and refined. Well-bred Poodles in all three varieties now have steady, calm nerves, hardy constitutions and they can be easily trained. A Poodle is a "person" and he expects to be treated as one. Each one is a character and for that reason they make wonderful companions.

A Poodle should be a member of the family. Prospective owners of Poodles should be equipped to provide a fenced-in area in which the Poodle can exercise or be prepared to walk the Poodle regularly on a leash. Poodles permitted to roam are likely to be stolen or killed. Poodles require regular clipping and grooming; a dexterous owner can readily learn how to groom his own dog or he can take the Poodle to a professional grooming shop. Poodles are not finicky eaters (unless made so by indulgent owners;) they thrive on simple, prepared dog foods.
